Reactivating or Transferring Membership

Tau Nu Omega welcomes members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® to visit with us! Chapter meetings are held the second Friday of every month (excluding July and August). For more information, contact us.

Reactivation

To reactivate, you must complete the Graduate Chapter Reactivation Form. Submit your completed form to the Membership Chair, along with the appropriate fees, dues, and other assessments (if applicable). For assistance, click here.

Transfer

Before transferring membership from one chapter to Tau Nu Omega, you must obtain the consent of your former chapter. If you are currently active with a chapter or were last year, you must request a signed Transfer Verification Form. Your current or previous chapter president and treasurer must complete & sign the form, and return the original to you. For assistance, click here.

Prospective Members

Membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is by invitation only and is not solicited through our graduate chapters.

Graduate chapters host public events, such as forums, cultural presentations and social activities, so that prospective candidates can become acquainted with chapter members and learn about service activities they offer to local communities. Do not actively seek membership into the Sorority.

Attendance at activities does not guarantee an invitation to membership. Members of the chapter will recommend for membership women who are aligned with the Sorority’s mission, service to all mankind.
