Message from the President

Since our chartering on June 13, 1992, Tau Nu Omega chapter members have provided services that empower, uplift and improve the quality of life for the members of the South Bronx community. We are proud of our 30+ years of service in the South Bronx and are excited to continue to do so by living up to the ideals and goals of our international organization, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. 

We are tenacious, noble and outstanding women who are connected to each other

through sisterly bonds that stretches out in the form of service to the South Bronx

community. We believe a strong sisterhood equals a strong community. With this

belief, we endeavor to make the South Bronx community stronger though programs that promote education and scholarship, equity and justice and civic engagement.

A strong community requires strong participation from its members and beyond. We

invite you to join us in our effort to provide impactful service in the South Bronx. Visit
